Wishing Well is a volunteer led charity,
much of our work is done through volunteers
and the entire management of the charity is
done on a voluntary basis.
In Romania, we brought National Volunteer
Week to the town of Slatina, where our
centre is based. We now co-ordinate all
National Volunteer Week activities for the
town, bringing a range of voluntary and
non-profit groups together to promote the
concept of volunteering.
We are members of Romania’s newly emerging
National network of Volunteer Centre, an
organisation committed to developing and
sharing principles of good practice across
the Romanian charity sector.
In the UK we are members of the National
Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO)
and Eastbourne Association of Voluntary
Services (EAVS).
We provide volunteer placements in both in
Romania and the UK. And, we were one of the
first charities in Romania to establish a
local volunteer team.
We also support other organisations with the
training and development of their
volunteers. |
