Fundatia William Tyrrell is a registered Non
Governmental Organisation (Non profit) in
Romania registered in 1998 in the Olt
County. Both organisations are managed by a
board of unpaid Trustee’s and are managed in
accordance to the guidelines set out in
their organisational constitutions. In
addition to the board of trustee’s we have
established a Professional Advisory Board of
experts who advise the organisations on a
voluntary basis.
The skills mix of the Professional Advisors
includes;
• Teacher & Early Years specialists
• Doctor & other Health Care professionals
• University Professor with extensive
experience in international development work
Both boards of Trustee’s meet on a regular
basis and distribute minutes of meetings to
all serving Professional Advisory Board
members for comments. Where practicably
possible both organisations aim to adopt the
same policies and operational procedures.
And, in making all decisions, the service
users, volunteers and wider community are
generally consulted. We have had a fairly
stable period over the last few years with
very few changes to our management, staff
and volunteer teams. The service users also
remain consistent. However we have seen some
increase in number across the board.
We have a wide and developing range of
policies and procedures including; child
protection, behaviour management,
volunteering, confidentiality, staff &
volunteer development, environmental &
ethical. Please contact us if you require a

aim to be as open and transparent as
practicably possible, and are willing to
work with other organisation as long as they
share the same ethics and have the same aims
as we do.
